Don't worry, be Happy
I’ve had that horrible song of 1988 in my head ever since meeting Bruno the Italian midget. The one-hit-wonder song is the type that gets stuck in your head for days and won’t leave until it drives you crazy. The song is a bit like Bruno, but it’s OK because for all the chattering this little dynamo does all day long, by the end of the day to know Bruno is to be happy. My friends don’t believe I’ve befriended a midget (he prefers this moniker to “little person”) but I’m not sure why. The world is made up of all kinds of people; LGBT’s certainly don’t hold the key to being different.
Walking down the street with Bruno is a lesson in solving the world’s problems. When people stare at him, he stops them and shouts, “What, you’ve never seen a midget?” As they walk on he shouts, “There’s your smile. Now wear it more often. Don’t worry be happy.” H
