“Buffalo Skinned by the Kings Men”

— Reviewed by Justin McIntosh

W.Va. native Todd Burge’s often been called the Mountain State’s best folk artist, and while I’ve always respected his work, I haven’t been as ready to hand out such a lofty title. Maybe it’s my own hang-up with hype. Either way, this is Todd’s first album that’s gotten me excited, and for the life of me I can’t figure out why it’s had a different effect. Tim O’Brien again provides support with a variety of instruments; Todd’s lyrics are as wonderfully unique and “home-spun” as always; and musically it all comes together crisp and clean. Album closer, “Buffalo Skinned by the Kings Men,” is what did it for me. If you’re new to TB, give this a spin.

Snoop Dogg

“Sexual Eruption,” the new single off Snoop’s new album, is perhaps the greatest video ever and if we could post it into these pages, every one would be embedded with said clips. The expansion of Snoop’s musical palette doesn’t
