A suspenseful amnesiac tale

By Amy Phelps , Graffiti

A woman's past comes to the surface in Calia Read's "Unhinge."

Victoria can't remember a whole lot before Fairfax Hospital, or even how she came to be there. Her days are spent taking care of her baby Evelyn, talking to her doctor and following the hospital's rules. She's stopped taken her medication and thinks she might be remembering something. And getting ready for her date nights with her husband, Wes. No one believes her that Wes is coming to see her at night. Everyone believes he is dead. But Victoria knows he's not.

And then a handsome stranger shows up to visit her. His name is Sinclair, and he claims to love her. Who is he and what does he want? Why does no one believe her about Wes? The only way to piece everything together is by looking at old photographs with her doctor, something Victoria has been hesistant to do until now. She must remember how she and Wes met, their struggle to have a family, and just when his attention turned from tender to terrifying. And how does Sinclair figure into all of this?

There are plenty of twists and turns in this romantic suspense novel that will keep readers guessing. This is part of a series by the author marketed for the New Adult genre, for ages 18-30. The author's previous book, "Unravel" is out now.
